Barrel Blenders

Camaraderie Cellars
Don Corson, owner and winemaker, started making wine in 1981 when he chose to make a little bit of wine with friends. After eleven vintages as a home winemaker the dream of a winery took root when the family moved to Port Angeles for Don to take an executive position with a timber company.

Don Corson is a big believer in blending wines from multiple vineyards. While making a limited number of “Terroir Series” wines from single vineyards, by and large, varietals are blends from multiple vineyards. Grapes are sourced from seven vineyards in five of the State’s AVA’s. These include Champoux Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills, Artz Vineyard on Red Mountain, Milbrandt Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope, and several vineyards in the Yakima Valley.

Cave B Estate Winery
Alfredo "Freddy" Arredondo is a graduate of the Walla Walla Community College Institute for Enology and Viticulture. Freddy's winemaking experience includes working as a cellar master at Cougar Crest Winery in Walla Walla. Prior to becoming a winemaker, Freddy was a professional chef.

Freddy worked as a chef in restaurants in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and on a cruise ship in Hawaii. However, he was drawn to Italy and moved there when he was awarded a highly-competitive scholarship to attend the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. It was in Italy where two life-changing things occurred: he met his future wife Carrie Bryan--daugher of Vince & Carol Bryan--and he became completely passionate about wine.

Col Solare
Col Solare is the partnership between two influential wine producers who are recognized leaders in their respective regions: Tuscany’s Marchesi Antinori and Washington State’s Chateau Ste. Michelle.

From its inaugural 1995 vintage, Col Solare’s mission has been to unite these two unique viticultural and winemaking cultures to produce a world-class Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the very best Washington fruit.

A passion for Cabernet Sauvignon brought Marcus Notaro to Col Solare as winemaker with the 2003 vintage, but Notaro’s history with Col Solare goes back to the beginning. Notaro, who has been making red wines in Washington since 1995, is drawn to the Col Solare vision of creating a top Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend from Washington’s finest fruit.

Columbia Winery
Columbia Winery is Washington’s first premium winery, producing distinctive Washington wines from European vinifera grapes since 1962. Winemaker Emeritus David Lake, deemed "Dean of Washington Winemakers" by both Wine Spectator and Decanter Magazine, believed in the synergy between art and science, and continued the founders’ tradition of innovation by introducing new varietals to the state, such as Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Gris.

Today, Director of Winemaking Kerry Norton honors the Columbia Winery tradition by crafting highly-acclaimed wines from Washington state. Wines from Columbia Winery exhibit the rich fruit flavors indicative of Washington from the refreshing Cellarmaster Riesling to the rounded berry-filled Merlot to the smoky Syrah, you will find that each wine has a superb balance of fruit and acidity to complement any meal or occasion.

Fidelitas
Fidelitas is led by acclaimed Columbia Valley vintner, Charlie Hoppes. Charlie has served as the winemaker for a few of Washington’s most recognizable labels. Perhaps most notably, he spent a decade with Chateau Ste. Michelle, first as Assistant Winemaker, then the Head Red Winemaker during the 1990’s. Today, Charlie continues to be a sought after consultant for Washington wineries.

In the year 2000 with the support of his wife Terri, Charlie began his own winery and named it Fidelitas, drawing on the family name Fidelis. From the beginning, Fidelitas sought to be faithful to Cabernet Sauvignon, loyal to classic Bordeaux winemaking techniques and true to Washington State’s Columbia Valley terroir. A decade later, these principles remain with Fidelitas’ hand crafted, Bordeaux-styled wines.

McCrea Cellars
McCrea Cellars is Washington State's first winery entirely dedicated to Syrah and to Rhône varietal wines. The Syrahs of Washington are rapidly becoming the signature wine of the State, and the McCrea Syrahs have laid the foundation for what has become a phenomenon of significant proportion in the Pacific Northwest.

Often overlooked (but not forgotten) are the elegant and sophisticated white Rhône wines that are becoming increasingly more popular and have long been a cult favorite of fans of McCrea Cellars.
